LWV continues its tradition by studying and monitoring issues vital to our communities, and by organizing educational and voters service activities for members and the public. 

How to get involved

Contact Ruth Kistler and leave your name and phone number if you would like to work on any of the studies or activities described below. Member participation is essential to accomplish the vast amount of work proposed.

Funding Oregon: The Ins and Outs of State Finance 
Review taxes used by each level of government; what funds can be used for what expenditures under the current system; the relationship among revenue sources; criteria for evaluating each revenue source.

Judicial Independence Project 
Educate Oregon voters about the judiciary as a separate branch of government and about the importance of maintaining an independent judiciary. 

Campaign Finance Reform
Contribution limits and public funding for clean elections are two of the ideas for candidate campaigns in Oregon.
