Our February 17 membership meeting will feature a talk by OSU Professor Burke Hales about PacWave. PacWave is an open wave energy testing facility located in state waters off Newport. Wave energy is a renewable energy source that could reduce use of fossil fuels and help address global climate change. A local ocean-based energy source would also contribute to community resilience.
