Our 2019 fruit sale fundraiser was successful; we raised $638 to cover future League expenses. The 2019 profit was down from the previous year, partly because some members who sold last year were not able to sell this year and we did not have their customers’ contact information. (Jack reminds us that it is important to record customer contact information on the order forms so that another seller can reach your customers if you’re unavailable, perhaps on a world cruise, next year.) We wound up with more unsold boxes (11 grapefruit and 3 oranges) than in previous years. All the excess boxes were donated to the local Food Share and were greatly appreciated.
