What an inspiring New Year gift for 2020: ten new members to our Lincoln County unit of League of Women Voters! There were many renewing members also, so in this historical year for both women’s suffrage (100 year birthday!) and League of Women Voters of the United States (100 year birthday also!), we are “good to go” as we approach primary and November ballots. Our new members include Kathleen Boian, Judy Casper, Mark Farley, Kaye Hering, Robin Hocktritt, Cynthia Jacobi, Kaety Jacobson, Judy Kreitmeyer, Rebecca McGee, and Susan Wahlke. A new member get-together is planned for Thursday, January 30, at 10:30 AM, at The Red Roof, 7040 Gleneden Beach Loop, Gleneden Beach, OR 97388. The new members will be receiving an individual invitation with the hope that each person will attend on that morning. Refreshments of choice from this excellent bakery will be the (food) order of the day. The Gleneden Beach Loop is the same road where Side Door Café and Blake’s Nursery are located. The Red Roof is north of both of those businesses. New members: please mark your paper or electronic calendars so that we can know you better.
